Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc on Houston and Central Texas, and the rains continue to fall, causing more widespread flooding -- leaving thousands displaced, seeking shelter and needing help.

How you can support the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts:

  1. Right now, attention is rightly focused on providing immediate relief to survivors -- temporary shelter, food, water and other basic needs -- and watching how the storm unfolds over the course of the week. Visit the American Red Cross site to donate now to support those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
  1. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has established the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund to accept tax-deductible flood relief donations for victims. The Greater Houston Community Foundation is administering the fund. This fund allows donors to give now to support longer-term recovery needs.

If you are a current fundholder at TCF, and wish to give through your fund, contact Mike George or Bridget Brell Holt in our Philanthropic Services Department, at 419.241.5049 or email or
